Theta Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi
Sorority, Inc. Endowment Fund

In 2023, a chance meeting led to a professional partnership between the Theta Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., and the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania. Recognizing that both organizations strive to support future Pennsylvania nurses, a lucrative endowment was quickly created. The endowment supports the basis on which the sorority was created and the motto it is guided by:

  • Elevating the plane of nurses.
  • Increasing interest in the field of nursing.
  • Motto: “Service for Humanity.”

The endowment has been created for registered nurses and student nurses (male and female) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Theta Theta Chi Eta Phi is a professional organization organized by Aliene C. Ewell, RN on October 16, 1932, assisted by 11 other courageous RNs. The sorority charter chapter, Alpha, was organized at Freedman’s Hospital, Washington DC. The Sorority has Programs focusing on health promotion/disease prevention, leadership development, mentoring, recruitment, retention, and scholarship.
