Scholarship Program

Since 1995, NFP has distributed more than $432,000 in scholarships to 283 students for nursing education and nursing research grants.

The annual NFP Scholarship Program opens each year on January 1 and accepts applications through March 31. Those meeting all scholarship criteria are reviewed by a volunteer panel of professionals, including nurses and nursing educators. All applicants are notified of the results by June 30.

Eligibility

Pennsylvania nursing students at all levels of study are eligible to apply, providing they are matriculated in an accredited nursing school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by the upcoming Fall semester. This includes students in their final year of high school who plan to pursue a nursing degree, as well as current college students pursuing their BSN, MSN, and doctorate.  Applicants must be able to verify a minimum overall 3.0 GPA and additional consideration will be given to students demonstrating financial need.

Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing (Former) Alumni Association Scholarship Edowment

The NFP’s Abington Alumni Association Scholarship Fund provides scholarships in support of students demonstrating need in pursuing of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited baccalaureate nursing program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Evelyn Benson Nurse Leadership Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s Evelyn Benson Nurse Leadership Scholarship provides scholarships in support of students demonstrating leadership skills in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in their third or fourth year of an accredited BSN, MSN, or doctoral program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Albert Einstein Medical Center Nursing School of Philadelphia (Former) Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s Alumni Association Scholarship Fund of the Former Albert Einstein Medical Center Nursing School of Philadelphia provides scholarships in support of students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited BSN, MSN, or doctoral program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Florence (Madden) Grady-Fasick Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s Florence (Madden) Grady-Fasick Scholarship Fund provides scholarships in support of students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited baccalaureate nursing program or an RN-BSN program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

JoAnne Goss Memorial Nursing Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s JoAnne Goss Nursing Leadership Scholarship provides scholarships to customers of the Market Cross Pub and Brewery who are students demonstrating leadership skills in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in their third or fourth year of an accredited RN, BSN, MSN, or doctoral program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Alyssa C. Rudy Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s Alyssa C. Rudy Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships to York College of Pennsylvania students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited BSN, MSN, or doctoral program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Tubman Scholar Scholarship Endowment

The NFP’s Tubman Scholar Scholarship Fund provides scholarships in support of Black students in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited BSN program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Military Scholarship
The Jack E. Barger, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The NFP’s Jack E. Barger, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship provides scholarships in support of select members of the military community in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Responsibility to document applicant’s veteran/active duty status will rest with the applicant.

All scholarship application information and attachments submitted are maintained in a private and confidential manner. NFP’s scholarship application is accessed through Award Spring, a third-party scholarship management software platform.
