JoAnne Goss Memorial Nursing Endowment

Assisting Nursing Students and Showing Appreciation for the Nursing Profession

The JoAnne Goss Memorial Nursing Scholarship Endowment was formed in 2017 in memory of a much loved, respected, and admired woman.

With her generous heart, determination, and keen sense of humor, JoAnne was beloved by her family and friends. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She also touched the lives of many people in her community through her business, the Market Cross Pub & Brewery in downtown Carlisle, which she opened with her husband, Jeff, in 1994.

JoAnne passed in 2016 after courageously battling cancer, lung failure and rheumatoid arthritis. Her family wanted to give back to the dedicated, caring nursing professionals who not only supported JoAnne through her health battles, but who also helped her family during their darkest days.

The endowment in JoAnne’s name was established in support of nursing students in central Pennsylvania as they pursue their educational goals and realize their dreams of becoming nurses.
