Chad Cope Memorial Fund

In Memory of a Hero Who Proudly Served Others

Chad Foster Cope was an esteemed friend of the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania.

Having grown up Mechanicsburg, Chad graduated from Trinity High School and Penn State University. Passionate about politics and government affairs, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Iraq War and served in the 101st Airborne Battalion. Proud to serve others, Chad knew he wanted a profession in which he could make a difference.

His motivation, knowledge, and capacity to win the hearts of others led him to a career in governmental affairs. Chad’s loyalty, unparalleled work ethic, and infectious smile provided him a world of opportunity.

In 2011, Chad passed away unexpectedly. He is remembered for his love of the Grateful Dead, the New York Mets, the Denver Broncos, his dog Henry, and spending time with his family and friends.

Through the generosity of family, friends, and donors, Chad’s legacy is realized through the work of NFP. The memorial fund in his name was established to support education and activities that raise awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
